Inverted diamond-shaped side to side anastomosis consists in doing a transversal opening of the graft and a longitudinal opening of the coronary artery. The heel of the graft is then matched with the heel of the artery. Since the openings are set in opposite directions, the graft route will be perpendicular to the coronary artery route.
